Within the scope of the opening of Art Basel, Argentinian plastic artist, Patricia Linenberg, has landed in Miami to present her intriguing work and reach a large international audience.
Linenberg, who was born and educated in Buenos Aires, brings paintings that are fresh, express passion and vitality and include intense colors, key elements of a work which central elements are “the human values such as freedom, sensuality, and the search for the sense of work in life”.
Her debut in United States begins in Miami where she was invited by “Galleria” located al Lincoln Road 904 to show her artistic work from December 9th to December 31st, 2002.
“I decided not to give up this other passion I have”, says Patricia. In fact, she dedicated to this natural artistic interest first in life. In 1971, before she started to treat patients, she took private drawing and painting lessons with Araceli Vázquez Málaga, teacher of the School of Fine Arts, because she sought to train and develop her innate skills to express herself through the canvas. This full-time psychoanalyst decided to take up again painting lessons in 1997 with Miriam Jerus Almi, later she studied with Ariel Mlynarzewicz and Ernesto Pesce at the Asociación de Amigos of the National Museum of Fine Arts.
Her intense therapeutic work with people and her sharp listening and observation skills mark her figurative and expressionist style. “It is about exploring the human being in his sensuality, freedom and his work as a value”, says the artist. Nowadays, Patricia combines her duties by the couch with long sessions at her studio in Buenos Aires.
