My attraction for jazz, vibrant with freedom, improvisation and sentiment, is molded by my father’s story and his successful jazz orchestra. “Jack Linen and his Argentine students”, from 1940 to 1950. I grew up surrounded by my parents’ friends who enjoyed themselves to the full making music. Jazz pianists, string quartets, ‘cello quintets, singers, etc. My mother, more of an art than a music lover, welcomed them all with love and joy. These memories peer out from each canvas. Painting and music are in tune with each other, creating an encounter with the unknown.
